and I'm naming names. First on the list is my sister Donna, next is my friend Marge who signed us up at the LQS for a CQ block. The block above is what came in the packet. We had five different fabrics to work with. I have one boo boo but my friend Kathy says anything you don't like put a button cluster on it so that's what I'm going to do. Oh yeah, Kathy is to blame also, and then there's sweet Lois. Lois is responsible for my love of oriental fabric because of the beautiful kimono quilt she showed me at the NH retreat. Kathy does beautiful CQ work and she shared some of her oriental bingo FQ's with me. Thank you Kathy!!! Oh well, what's a girl to do. I'll give it a try. If it turns out well I'll post a pic. If it turns out lousy I'll post a pic of my trash can!

I love it and the fabrics are gorgeous. I will have you piece my next CQ block, that's especially hard or me and yours looks great. I know you will ace this like you do everything. After all you already know how to tatt and paint on silk, and for someone who doesn't sew your block looks perfect to me. I'm excited to see what you do with it. I've done repieced mine twice since I showed it to you, LOL. I think I got something I can work with this time. It's going a lot better then my first attempt. I swore after that one I would never do it again but I'm glad I am. I'm actually enjoying doing this one since I have some idea as to what I'm suppose to be doing. I know what you mean after seeing all those blocks at the retreat, how could anyone not want to give it a try.
Love ya, sis
The block looks perfect, I don't see a boo boo! I love the colors too. I can't wait to see it finished.
Woo Hoo! Way to go girl!! The block is great! You did a super job! Now there, it didn't really hurt too bad did it!...and I predict it will not see the trash can! I just know you'll love the class....and I'm doing the "happy dance"..."another one bites the dust..." ROFL!!
Your hooked now!
I love the block...great colors and super placement of them. I'm sure there will be some tatted work somewhere on this block.
And yes, I'm guilty! I can hardly wait to see what you'll dream up with Oriental fabrics. Did you see the mini kimono quilt quiltingnewbie2 had on the message board? And she'll send you a copy if you want it! I'm positive you could quickly whip up a mini quilt.
